Bill H.B. 111
This bill would provide that any state or local governmental agency, board, or commission that issues a license, credential, or permit that is a prerequisite to a person engaging in an occupation or business shall refuse to issue, fail to renew, or suspend the license, credential, or permit of a person who employs an unauthorized alien in that occupation or business.
“Employ” includes hiring the unauthorized alien as an independent contractor.
