The states identified in the following table established a task force to address worker-misclassification. These task forces often comprise of representatives from several state agencies including the following:

  • Labor Department,
  • Attorney General’s Office,
  • Department of Taxation, and
  • Workers’ Compensation Board.

Task forces typically require member-agencies to share information concerning suspected incidences of worker-misclassification, coordinate enforcement activities, and recommend legislation to address worker-misclassification.
